Demeter is the Greek goddess of the harvest, fertility, and grain. She was one of the original six Olympians. Demeter along with her five siblings, (Zeus, Hera, Hestia, Hades, and Poseidon) overthrew their father, Kronos. Demeter deeply hates her brother Hades for marrying her daughter, Persephone, and tricking her to stay one third of the year with him in the underworld.
