The Stygian Witches (Known as the Graeae) are three old women, sisters that know almost everything but the future (note that these must not be compared to the Sisters of fate, of which there are also three; they are not as easy to reach as the Stygian ones, probably the same but with the name changed). In the 1981 movie they tell Perseus that the only way to defeat the Kraken is to actually kill the Gorgon called 'Medusa'.
The Stygian witches are blind (probably they were born eyeless) and see through a shared mystical eye, which they put near their ocular holes.
They are seen in the 2010 movie in another fashion style, looking more like monsters/mummies than humans.
